These product illustrations were created for a Flash demo which describe 3Com’s Bluetooth implementation and product line. In the presentation, wireframe drawings were first displayed, were then turned into the fully-rendered objects, and finally were discussed and demonstrated.
It’s true that the tech is a little long in the tooth, but these illustrations themselves still are worth a look to see detail and execution of contrasting rendering styles.
An interesting note. These illlustrations were created by taking dimensions from physical prototypes and creating traditional orthographic drawings which were used as the guides for rendering the final form. This traditional process is much more precise than drawing from observation or photography and is a hallmark of proper technical illustration.
