Verona Pharma
This series breaks down the mechanisms of action in treating COPD, a respiratory disease, by focusing on three processes: bronchodilation, anti-inflammation, and mucociliary clearance. Each process is featured in individual pieces, which show both the cellular and molecular levels in detail. As this was the first time these processes were visualized, it generated much attention and was used in several prominent educational publications.
Verona developed ensifentrine to combat respiratory diseases, largely by inhibiting PDE3 and PDE4 while increasing cAMP and cGMP.
