Technical Illustration

This series of technical illustrations depict a nebulizer and dry powder inhaler (DPI) in development by United Therapeutics. These devices administer Tyvaso™ (treprostinil), a drug for treating pulmonary hypertension.

The DPI inhaler, a novel new device, was illustrated as a comparison to the traditional nebulizer, but also as a means to describe its operation and component parts. These illustrations continue to be used throughout UTC’s medical communications materials for many purposes, including in describing dosage comparisons and correct usage by patients.
